Welcome to my protfolio! I invite you to check out my CV for an overview otherwise stick around to find out more about myself.

Who am I?

Born in Belgium in 1999 where I lived and grew up. I went to the Europeen School of Brussels II where I learned generic school stuff. The school was heavily focused on languages, while it offered a scientific side as well, technologies and IT were not part of the cursus.
Choosing a more scientific program I was heavily pushed to pursue languages as well. By the end of my studies I found myself lost, I knew I liked math and physics with languages not so much.
I decided to take a gap year, explore around Europe and Asia, discover more than what I had known my whole life, which had left me feeling empty. Unfortunately life got in the way and I was left with two choices, Work or Higher Education.
At the time I already knew working without knowing what I want to do was out of the question so I picked up Computer Science. Altough the courses where very intersting it was a very difficult time for me and so I dropped out.
I then decided to change my environment completely, studying away from home I tried my hand at Civil Engineering. Turns out the environment was not the only issue!
When covid hit I asked myself what now? I wasn't happy with what I was doing and it wasn't just because I was working to fund my studies either.
And so I started working on myself whilst also entering an orientation program. While it was short it allowed me to discover IT as a potential future. This lead me to BeCode, a 7month program where we learn to become web developers.
I finally was having fun studying and "working" but it didn't feel quite right yet, and that's when I discovered Game Development.
That was it, that was the missing piece I was searching for. I banked everything on it and fell completely in love with it. And after a short bachelor here I am, searching, fighting for my place in the industry because there is no other place for me!

That is my parcour, but not all of me. I love many things, animals, video games, chocolate, learning and helping others with knowledge I have.
I also have a dog. Look at that beautiful princess.
I took the long way around to get where I am, and while it was a long journey, I did learn many things along the way. Working many student jobs, meeting many different people I grew as a person in both my personal and professional life.
I can't help but feel I got a late start and that might be why I work double time on what I love, but I can't deny that I acquired various experiences that also give me an advantage over my peers. And since I'm only getting started I've got plenty more motivation to go!

I hope my short story gave you an insight to who I am. If you read so far and are intersted in what I can do, check out my projects or contact me below. If not let me know why, I'm always open to critique, advice and improvements!
